Australian Manchester United fans have started a petition in the hope of finally bring MUTV to Australian channels.
OZMUFC.com featured the movement on Sunday featuring Perth Manchester United Supporters Club’s Stuart Darwell, after he had created the “We want MUTV in Australia” page.
Before OZMUFC.com published the piece, the page had 290 likes, but has grown by over 70 in the last 24 hours.
The Twitter account, @MUTVinAus, has become more active with greater support and has also by over 80 followers.
A post on the Facebook page reported the New South Wales branch chairman Mark O’Connor had got on board.
Mark O’Connor, Club Chairman of MANUTDNSW has joined our army.
He’s going into MUTV on Wednesday for talks with marketing gurus and other reds (no name dropping ).
With a little bit of luck and hopefully some persuasion from Mark on our behalf…maybe we might start to be heard in the right corridors.
Good luck Mr O’Connor.
Darwell’s fellow PMUSC member Douglas Black also set up a petition on Change.org which has already had over 100 signatures.
You can view and sign the petition here: https://www.change.org/p/manchester-united-make-mutv-available-in-australia
